HEIM 140 - Home office desk - Oak wood
Product description
Key facts
- HEIM 140 is a home office desk in oak wood with 3 drawers as standard.
- Standard depth of 50 cm (20 in).
- Body and top in oak veneer over a hardwood blockboard core.
- Matte hard wax oil on the body and legs.
- Two drawers and an open niche on request.
This home office desk has three drawers with birch plywood boxes running on traditional solid oak slides. Cut-out grips let you pull each front directly, keeping the wood free of separate handles.
At 50 cm (20 in) deep, it gives your work a narrow footprint within the room. The top is 140 cm (55 in) across and 75 cm (30 in) high, so you can check its fit alongside the furniture you already use.
The oak you see across the top is natural veneer over a hardwood blockboard core, with solid oak used for the body's sides. We use solid oak again for the fronts and legs, carrying the same wood through the parts around the veneered surface.
A matte hard wax oil finish leaves the body, fronts and legs with their natural, unstained appearance. You can renew the finish yourself at home using no special tools. For a different look across the front, white or black water-based lacquer is an option. You can also request a different gloss level if you prefer more sheen.
Because the desk is made to order, you can request dimensions that suit your space or a layout with two drawers and an open niche. This leaves a place to reach into directly for things you use often. Soft-close drawers can be requested too.
The legs are detached for transport and numbered to help you position them. With the included assembly kit, you should be able to put the desk together in up to 10 minutes.
Each HEIM 140 is built to order from scratch in our workshop in Poland, taking 7-10 weeks to complete. We pack the finished piece in secure, reinforced packaging and ship it free of charge to New Zealand with trusted carriers like DHL Express, FedEx, and NZ Post - every shipment is fully insured.
