HEIM 140 - Wooden desk with drawers - Walnut wood
Product description
Key facts
- HEIM 140 is a wooden desk with drawers in walnut wood, with a standard width of 140 cm (55 in).
- Body and top in American walnut veneer over a hardwood blockboard core.
- Standard depth of 50 cm (20 in).
- Hard wax oil finish can be refreshed at home.
- Two drawers and an open niche on request.
Three drawers are standard on this desk, with a two-drawer layout and an open niche possible on request. That choice lets you decide what to tuck away and what to leave ready to pick up, according to how you work.
Natural American walnut veneer covers a hardwood blockboard core in the body and top. Solid American walnut forms the sides, fronts and legs, carrying the same species through the parts around that veneered surface. Each front has a cut-out grip, so your hand meets the wood when you open a drawer.
A 140 cm (55 in) width gives you room to arrange your work from side to side, while the 50 cm (20 in) depth limits how far the desk extends into the room. The working height is 75 cm (30 in).
Hard wax oil leaves a natural matte surface on the body, fronts and legs, and you can refresh it yourself at home with no specialist tools. Black or white water-based lacquer on the fronts offers a change of color if you prefer a contrast with the walnut.
You can request soft-close drawers for a gentler closing action, or a different gloss level if you prefer more sheen. As each desk is made to order, custom dimensions, another wood or a different finish can be considered alongside the furniture you already have.
Putting it together at home should take up to 10 minutes. The legs arrive detached and numbered, and the assembly kit is included so you can match each leg to its place and attach it.
Each HEIM 140 is built to order from scratch in our workshop in Poland, taking 7-10 weeks to complete.
