HEIM 140 is a computer desk that gives cables a route through the furniture, helping you keep the working surface clear. Three flaps open onto compartments, and each cut-out grip doubles as a passage for a lead, so cables can remain connected when the flaps are closed. Exits at the left, right and center of the bottom rail help you direct the wiring toward its connections.
The standard size gives you a work surface 140 cm (55 in) across and 60 cm (24 in) deep, set 75 cm (30 in) high. Three drawers keep the things you use during the day close by while leaving space on top for work in progress.
Natural oak veneer brings real wood grain to the body and top over a hardwood lumber core. Solid oak makes up the sides, legs and fronts, where cut-out grips replace separate handles. The drawers themselves are birch plywood and run on oak slides.
Hard wax oil leaves the natural wood with a matte finish that can be refreshed at home without special tools. White or black fronts use matte water-based lacquer, giving you a choice between carrying the wood across the front or introducing a plain color.
Because each desk is made to order, you can request dimensions suited to your room. The drawer layout can change too, including two drawers beside an open niche for things you want directly to hand. Soft-close operation and another finish or gloss level are also options.
The legs arrive detached and numbered to guide fitting. With an assembly kit in the package, allow up to 10 minutes to attach them before you arrange your workspace.
Each HEIM 140 is built to order from scratch in our workshop in Poland, taking 7-10 weeks to complete. Selected models are also available off the shelf - check the Ready to Ship section for current stock. We pack the finished piece in secure, reinforced packaging and ship it free of charge to Australia with trusted carriers like DHL Express, FedEx, and StarTrack - every shipment is fully insured.
