HEIM 140 - Writing desk with drawers - Oak wood

HEIM 140 combines an oak work surface with storage for your writing supplies. This writing desk with drawers is narrow, 50 cm (20 in) from front to back, for a room where space is limited.

The three drawers separate work supplies into birch plywood boxes that travel on traditional solid oak slides. Each solid oak front has a cut-out grip instead of a handle. You can request a different storage layout, including an open niche, to suit what you keep at the desk.

We use natural oak veneer over a hardwood lumber core, or blockboard, for the top and body, framed by solid oak sides. The solid oak legs splay outward in two planes, a detail that gives the desk its mid-century character.

We finish the wood in natural matte hard wax oil; as the oiled oak ages, its tone becomes warmer and slightly honeyed. We build each desk to order with fronts in black or white matte water-based lacquer or natural oak, plus custom dimensions, a different wood species, soft-close drawers and other finishes or gloss levels on request. The legs come detached, each numbered for its place, with the assembly kit in the box. Fitting them should take up to ten minutes.

Each HEIM 140 is built to order from scratch in our workshop in Poland, taking 8-12 weeks to complete. Selected models are also available off the shelf - check the Ready to Ship section for current stock. We pack the finished piece in secure, reinforced packaging and ship it free of charge to Norway with trusted carriers like DHL, Bring, and Schenker - every shipment is fully insured.
